Failed to execute goal pl.project13.maven:git-commit-id-plugin:2.2.6:revision


Problem Statement :
Jhipster project while building below error coming, Solution provided below

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal pl.project13.maven:git-commit-id-plugin:2.2.6:revision (default) on project microworker: Could not complete Mojo execution...: Error: Could not get HEAD Ref, are you sure you have some commits in the dotGitDirectory? -> [Help 1]
[ERROR]

Solution :

Step 1 : Open pom.xml in note pad

Step 2 : Search for the below plugin dependency ( without version info) 

<plugin>
                        <groupId>pl.project13.maven</groupId>
                        <artifactId>git-commit-id-plugin</artifactId>

 </plugin>



modify the above plugin as below 

<plugin>
                        <groupId>pl.project13.maven</groupId>
                        <artifactId>git-commit-id-plugin</artifactId>
                        <configuration>
                          <skip>true</skip>
                        </configuration>
 </plugin>

How to remove entity in jhipster and create fresh entities

Problem Statement : Not able to delete jhipster entity and wanted to entities freshly

Solution :

Step 1) Open command prompt and point to the jhipster project root

Step 2) Run  jhipster remove-entity

Step 3) Run jhipster

Step 4) Then import new jdl  using below command

jhipster import-jdl jhipster-jdl.jh

Step 5 ) Then Run  mvnw


Still Problem  : One of the entity may not load data and shows 500 error

Drop the tables in h2 database and let and do mvnw again.

To connect to local database Goto -> Administration -->Database --> Connect
